چکیده

Abstract This paper presents an approach for deriving the continuum sensitivity of superconducting systems operating at critical current densities and optimization method based on sensitivity. In problem, is represented by a variational state equation, wherein magnetic permeability depends field, which transformed from equation with field-dependent source. The design derived using material derivative concept mechanics adjoint variable method. system has property as symmetric tensor that contains density respect to field. in analytical form surface integral interface between its surroundings, density. scheme constructed optimization, level set used express shape variation materials. numerical example infinite solenoids demonstrates provides accurate solution considering condition. addition, resonance imaging solenoid shows inherent ability attaining compact treating input

Critical current densities in superconducting materials

We discuss recent research in the area of critical current densities (JC) in superconductors. This shall cover recent work on newly discovered superconductors, as well as on the magnetic-field dependence of JC .

Critical Current Simulation and Measurement of Second Generation, High-Temperature Superconducting Coil under External Magnetic Field

This paper studies the critical current of second generation, high temperature superconducting coils under an external magnetic field experimentally and numerically. Two identical coils with different coated conductors are fabricated and tested under a direct current (DC) magnetic field along the axis of the coil. Then, a numerical model in cylindrical coordinates based on a sheet current model...

Longitudinal magnetic field increases critical current in superconducting strip

The critical state of the vortex lattice in a thin strip is considered for the case when first a perpendicular magnetic field is applied, then a longitudinal field, and then again the perpendicular field is increased. This longitudinal field can strongly enhance the critical currents in the strip since the vortices are inclined and the currents flow in the strip plane.

Critical Magnetic Field Determination of Superconducting Materials*

Abstract Using a 11.4 GHz, 50-MW, <1 μs, pulsed power source and a TE013-like mode copper cavity, we have been measuring critical magnetic fields of superconductors for accelerator cavity applications. This device can eliminate both thermal and field emission effects due to a short pulse and no electric field at the sample surface. A model of the system is presented in this paper along with a d...

superfluid densities in superconducting films in a parallel magnetic field

In this paper we develop a theory of mesoscopic fluctuations in disordered thin superconducting films in a parallel magnetic field. At zero temperature and sufficiently strong magnetic field the system undergoes a phase transition into a state characterized by a superfluid density, which is random in sign. Consequently, in this region, random supercurrents are spontaneously created in the groun...
